New Chief in Edgewater Park? Why no Articles in the BCT?

The following request was emailed to us today.

"Please find out why nothing has been said by the ep committee about Bob Brian retiring as police chief and Gene DiFilippo s appointment as the new chief effective 1/1/2014"

Gee was this position posted? When did the township interview the candidates? Was Bob Brian's retirement recognized? Please let the EP Reporters in on when this was decided if you know.
